Challenge
This is an example of a social media contest we ran with Riverbank. They typically do a contest quarterly, and it works well for them as their community is Gen Z/Millenial, and they are very interactive on Riverbank's social media platforms.
Process
The contest lasted for three weeks, and residents could submit their photos via email or Instagram. In these three weeks, we promoted the contest in Instagram stories and posts, as well as the monthly newsletter. At the time of this campaign, I was an intern under the direction of the previous social media manager. By the end of the campaign, I had proven to both the VP and president that I was capable of similar projects on my own!
Solution
By the end of the campaign, we had 15 entries and actively had Chewy interacting with us via DM! There were some flaws in the campaign. For example, residents could only post photos, not tag riverbank via IG story. In social media, an aesthetic feed is important to the user, which may make them less inclined to enter. we addressed these problems and took notes for future campaigns.
